webpage superhero
For the past month, EuroYankee has been sucked into the underworld of web design. After many years of wondering what went into making a website, I decided to learn by doing. It was quite the journey. First, I made a website using Dreamweaver that looked completely lame. Then, I figured out a cooler design and re-did the entire thing in Dreamweaver using tables. It looked horrible in Firefox. So I then taught myself Cascading Style Sheets (CCS) and did it that way. The result is simple (only four pages in three languages) but nice. I still want to add a multimedia slide show as well as a guestbook at some point, but need to find a good php+mysql tutorial first. For now, I’m just happy to have a functioning site.
