Pacific island life is quite different from life elsewhere. Not much excitement. Actually zero excitement. The routine has not varied for the past 4 days: eat baguette for breakfast (French colonialism is delicious), spend an unknown amount of time staring at the sea, read, snorkel, read, stare at sea, eat lunch, [beer #1] read, hitch a ride to grocery store to buy more baguette, kayak, swim, [beer #2] read, [beer #3]eat an early dinner (more baguette), take refuge in bed (mosquito net), read, try to keep eyes open until acceptable bedtime (9:30). I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much time doing so little, Something tells me the next island on our itinerary will have a little more action. Japan ahoy!Pacific island life is quite different from life elsewhere. Not much excitement. Actually zero excitement.
